API access tokens

Personal access tokens let the Ovillo VS Code extension and other tools authenticate as you. A token is shown once — copy it then. Revoking it never affects your web login.

Your git identity isn't necessarily your Ovillo login (GitHub/Bitbucket vs. Google/Microsoft). These fields link them: tasks assigned to any of these names will show up as yours, here and in VS Code.

Install: VS Code → Extensions (⇧⌘X) → ··· menu → “Install from VSIX…” → pick the file. Or run code --install-extension ovillo-vscode.vsix. Then generate a token above and paste it when the extension asks. It already points at this server — no other setup.

AI-LLM

Choose the provider and model Ovillo AI Chat will use. The API key is stored in this browser (localStorage) for now; once the backend is connected it will move to a per-organization secret store.

Not sent anywhere yet; only stored locally.

Chrome extension

Use the Ovillo AI chat from a side panel in any tab. It uses the LLM configured above — nothing else to set up.

The extension is being published to the Chrome Web Store. Meanwhile, generate your connection token below.

1. Generate a personal token below (shown once — copy it). 2. Open the extension's side panel → ⚙ → paste it → Save & connect.

Tokens are shown only once at creation. Revoke any you don't recognize or no longer use (these are the same tokens used by VS Code, Chrome and MCP).

Claude Code (MCP)

Let Claude Code (and other MCP clients) work directly with your Ovillo spaces: create tasks from its plan, change their status, comment them and log time — with the same access you have. Generate a token in the card above, then run this once:

Replace YOUR_TOKEN with the token you generated. Then in Claude Code: “crea las tareas del plan en Ovillo” and it will use the ovillo tools.
