Summary

Ovillo AI Buddy is a thin client for the Ovillo AI chat. It lets you talk to the Ovillo agent about your own spaces and tasks from a browser side panel. It talks only to your Ovillo account at app.ovillo.lat. It does not sell, share, or send your data to any third party, and it contains no analytics or tracking.

What it stores

Your personal access token (PAT) — kept in the browser's chrome.storage.local on your device so you don't have to paste it every time. It is sent only to app.ovillo.lat to authenticate your requests. You can revoke it anytime in the Ovillo app (Settings → API access tokens).
Recent chat messages — the last few messages of your conversation are kept locally so the chat survives a panel reload. They never leave your device except as part of the request you send to the Ovillo agent.
Your preferences — selected agent/persona and space, stored locally.

What it sends, and where

When you send a message, the extension makes an authenticated request to the Ovillo API at https://app.ovillo.lat containing your message, the recent chat history, and your selected agent/space. The Ovillo backend processes it using the LLM configured on your Ovillo account (Ovillo credits or your own provider key). This is the same processing that happens when you use the chat inside the Ovillo web app. No data is sent to any other destination.

What it does NOT do

No reading or modifying the content of the web pages you visit.
No analytics, telemetry, advertising, or fingerprinting.
No selling or sharing of data with third parties.

Permissions

storage — to remember your token and preferences on your device.
sidePanel — to show the chat in the browser side panel.
Host access to app.ovillo.lat — to talk to your Ovillo account.

Data retention & deletion

Locally stored data (token, recent messages, preferences) is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear its storage. Data held by the Ovillo platform is governed by your Ovillo account; revoke the token in the app to cut the extension's access immediately.
